Basically it means that you agree with whatever someone said because you think what they said is really smart. It is often related to politics especially when someone says something controversial. The current use of it is basically the opposite of cringe. If something is based, it's not cringe.

Dude.de für die Umgangsprache. Urban Dictionary ist tatsächlich nicht auf Englisch beschränkt sondern man kann dort für alle Sprachen Stichworte eintragen. Allerdings ist die Auswahl an deutschen Begriffen nicht sehr groß und man kann sich die Stichworte nicht in einer Liste durchlesen, sondern muss Suchbegriffe eintragen.
